How to go to sleep after mediumship?
When you just start out with mediumship, the surge of the power energy can be a lot to handle. It is great when we are working, you feel energised, you feel hyper, you are ready to make the connections and bring through the loved ones in the spirit world. But when the work is done and you still feel the energy flowing through you, what do you do then? Because if you have worked in the evening, you need to calm down enough to be able to sleep.
Over the years, I have found out a few things that work for me. The first one is grounding, maybe walking outside, stand outside barefooted for a little while whilst imagining the energy flowing back to the earth. Another one is eating something. A bit of toast or a sandwich, a banana, anything that gives your body sustenance and brings your mind and energy back to your body. What also helps is imagining that your aura is coming closer to your body, so that you are not wide-open anymore to everything that is coming in.
Meditation helps to calm down as well, it brings you back to yourself, it stops your mind from racing and it lets you calm down. Having a shower or a bath, where you relax can also help. If all this fails then I will have a small glass of whisky, just to help me settle down.
